Based on the EU RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) Directive 2002/95/EC, the IECEE Reporting Service for Hazardous Substances (HS) determines and reports the level of Hazardous Substances in materials and Components used in electrical equipment (not meant for end-products).
THIS SERVICE AIMS AT CONTROLLING AND HARMONIZING QUALITY REQUIREMENTS OF ANALYTICAL TESTING AS WELL AS GLOBALLY RECOGNIZED REPORTS FOR ALL PARTICIPATING IECEE CB RoHS TESTING COMPANIES.
What does the IECEE Reporting Service of Hazardous Substances include?
DEFINITION
- The IECEE (International Electrotechnical Committee for Electrical Scheme)* has developed a new so-called IECEE Hazardous Substances Reporting Service.
- Testing according to the latest international IEC standards for Hazardous Substances (IEC 62321)
- This service determines and reports the levels of Hazardous Substances in materials and components used in electrical equipment.
- The IECEE HS Service is not meant for end products.
PURPOSE
- Industry, authorities and certification bodies are encouraged to recognise these test results.
- The service is based on a laboratory network which is controlled by NCBs,
- the Peer Assessment Scheme
- as well as regular round-robin testing programs.
- Expertise in testing and measurement of Hazardous Substances is incorporated into the IECEE new Expert Task Force dedicated to the category RoHS (Hazardous Substances)

Based on the test results, the certification bodies issue RoHS Statements of Test Results. The website of the scheme is www.iecee.org and the test results are published on this site. The database is available from the http://certificates.iecee.org, under the "public area", category "RoHS".
