QUALITY ASSURANCE (QA) PROGRAM
Our Quality Assurance Program helps faster market access for the following product scopes: Audio / video products (e.g. video inspection), Home appliances (e.g. home inspection), IT products (e.g. bga inspection, electrical equipment inspection), Components and more...

STAGE 1: PRODUCT EVALUATION
Verify product specifications and provide consultancy on safety requirements and legal regulations.

STAGE 2: FACTORY QUALITY ASSESSMENT
Verify the capability of a manufacturer to meet the contractual conditions for safety, RoHS, quality, performance, quantity and delivery terms. It allows corrective actions to reduce further costs and risks.

  • Technical Factory Inspection (Manufacturing Processes & Quality System Control)
  • Safety Factory Inspection (CIG requirements)
  • Special Factory Inspection (Special audit requirements for the client’s needs, e.g. C-TPAT, TAPA)
  • In-line Inspection (Manufacturing & Quality Control of the production lines)

STAGE 3: PRODUCT INSPECTIONS
Verify the product workmanship, quality, functions, accessories, user manual, marking and packaging by evaluating statistically selected samples.

  • Initial Production Check (IPC)
    Timely corrections of any non-conformities
  • During Production Check (DUPRO)
    Evaluation of the average product quality during manufacturing. To take corrective actions at an early stage.
  • Final Random Inspection (FRI)
    Covers product appearance, quality, process, assortment, labelling & packing, etc.
  • Construction Check on-site
    During production or FRI to ensure that mass-production samples are compliant with Safety Standards for import country.
  • Green Inspection / RoHS
    On-site screening analysis of regulated substances with portable XRF - X-ray fluorescence - spectrometer. This allows non-destructive measuring of the finished product.

STAGE 4: SHIPMENT DELIVERY CONTROL

  • Verify that the correct versions of accessories, booklets and software were shipped. Determine the exact shipping batch product quantity for delivery.
  • Verify the suitability of the shipping container, the shipping lot and determine the product quantity. Containers are secured with SGS seals after container stuffing.

Combined with the services of our Quality Assurance Programme, we also offer you comprehensive Customer Quality Assurance Management (CQAM), which ensures that your needs are met for all Inspection steps.

MODULE 1 - NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT FOLLOW-UP
This module provides a follow-up service to clients who place an order to their supplier. As a QA (Quality Assurance) representative, SGS can monitor the state of a product during all stages:

Design stage → Product Review → Pilot Run → ECN Tracking → First Piece Inspection

This follow-up process covers all major milestones of the product and ensures that a tight control of the entire process is maintained. The results of the follow-up are made available to the client.

MODULE 2 - FIREFIGHTING CUSTOMER COMPLAINT CASES
This module investigates the root cause of a complaint case and provides a “solution plan” to solve the high field-call rate, the scrap rate and issues concerning compliance.steps.
