XRF Mapping

NON-DESTRUCTIVE X-RAY ANALYTIC SERVICES

European Commission Decision 2005/618/EC establishing the maximum concentration values of certain hazardous substances in homogeneous materials had been announced by 19 August, 2005.The homogeneous material is a unit that can not be mechanically disjointed in single materials. Taking apart various materials and electronic components is relatively easy, but it is rather difficult to achieve that with modules and finished products.

In order to raise the level of service in our chemical laboratory, we have added XRD, X-ray Diffraction, WD-XRF, quantum X-ray (μ-EDXRF) and SEM-EDX, Scanning Electron Microscope.  These X-ray tests have multiple analysis functions, high reliability and high speed in achieving non-destructive X-ray analysis.

XRF is appropriated for IQC (Input Quality Control) because it is non-destructive and quick. In supplier chain control, XRF can serve at the first line for each stage with strict process.  And it can decrease the risk of use non-RoHS compliant materials efficiently.

The advantages of XRF are as below:

(1) Low interference from chemical bonding.
(2) Wide range of testing many kinds of elements.
(3) Quick analysis.
(4) XRF has many functions can be adapted according to the sample type.
(5) Less expensive than destructive X-ray analysis.
